I don’t understand what makes you think you could get from the US to UK via train? – unless you mean taking the train to another part of US and then flying?

Depends where and when exactly. Right now, cheapest is $460 on a sale offer from Virgin Atlantic to London from JFK and/or Newark. http://www.bookingbuddy.com is great at snooping out the absolute best airfare between 2 cities, all in 1 go so you don’t have to check Kayak, each airline site, Orbitz, Priceline, Cheaptickets, etc. etc. one-by-one. It’s a huge time-saver.

In case you didn’t know, there’s an ocean between the two. While there’s a train under the channel, there isn’t one across the Atlantic.
