Just do what i did when i played them. Shut your ds off while saving so it loads the last saved data.
You need to delete the file. If you already saved, then that becomes your last save. Corrupting it will just put back at that point, since that was your last save. Corrupting game data deletes your file or causes some nasty side effects.
