Time, this all takes time.
But, put ads in craigslist & backpage, give limited guarantees for your work & talk to everyone.
Try various tow companies & the drivers as they always come across people with car trouble.
Offer free diagnostic for a limited time, when you put fliers on cars, look for older cars that are not leased & may or will need work.
Also there are the mail paks, for a few hundred dollars you can get 10,000 fliers out, but sometimes this doesn’t work either.
Time is your friend as people get to know you they will come & refer more people.
Best of Luck

OK, the sales factors are 3, they are
1. Price
2. Merchandise Inventory
3. Customer Service

If the price is not the problem, then you must to care is about the Merchandise inventory. It is about the completeness of uct. maybe there are people come to your store to ask for any product, but your store doesn’t sell it. People will come again to your store if they remember that your store is complete.

After that, you have to provide good customer service for your customer to attract them become more loyal. The service for example, service after sales, catalog, and many more. It is depend on your idea, what kind of service you can provide for your customers. you can learn from the source below:

If you have a blog or use Twitter, that’s an excellent way to get the word out. Make sure to make your entries meaningful though, or people will just consider it spam-ish. Have you thought about having a neighborhood barbecue? Pull out the grill and make some brats and dogs as a “let’s get aquainted” day. It will help earn you some loyalty, and people will certainly remember your name when they automobile service.

For other small business marketing ideas I wanted to recommend you look around the Marketing Section at the MSBC Learning Center. No registration required, and I think you’ll find it helpful as well, some great tips in there. (link below)

Best of luck to you!

It’s impossible to give you any real specific advice for marketing to people in your geographic area. What are the successful mechanic shops in your area doing to attract customers? Have you tried anything unusual that no one else is doing? I’ve seen where some offer to do small on site repairs and maintenance, like oil, filter, and wiper changes. Having things like that done while at work is very convenient and time saving. I should also bring you bigger repair job for these customers.

I’ve also seen where local businesses have used the internet to dramatically increase local customer traffic. Here’s a site that can offer you some assistance in this area:

There’s a specific story about a dentist, John Burch, who did this very successfully. Check his story out. I wish you the best of success!
